Greece's sense of entitlement goes back generations lol. If i were the eurozone I wouldkick them out and let them sink, which would happen very very quickly.

Wasn't/isn't there a movement in Greece trying to bring back the Drachma?

I believe so. The socialist party, what we would call it, won the majority of the election i believe. Basically undoing all that had been done for the trickier recovery. Greece can and has tanked the euros value. I'd cut ties. Especially if i was Germany.

Its a funny situation. A ton of people want Greece out, but it would cause massive consequences. Not only would Greece, most likely, have a totally collapse, but it would be seen as a failure to the euro, which would crash in value. So as much as both sides hate each other, their in it for the long run.

If you owe the bank $100 that's your problem. If you owe the bank $100 million, that's the bank's problem.

NPR did an amazing hour+ broadcast explaining the history and all the key players in 2011. It boggles my mind on how billions were transferred without any oversight.

What is even weirder is how some of the hedge funds that loaned money are fighting for Greece to not pay a cent, so can collect a greater amount of insurance money, than they would get in a deal.

Well, Greece really does kind of have the upper hand, when you think about it. If Germany doesn't want the Euro collapsing and taking their economy down with it, they have no choice but to continue shoring up Greece whether they like it or not.

Also, I'm pretty sure that money was a gift and not a loan and Germany never said anything about it until they broke up and Greece moved out of the house. Judge Judy can get to the bottom of that one easily enough.
